National Waste Collections (NWC) is a paper and plastic recovery concern jointly owned by ART and Hunyani Holdings. The company was specifically established to ensure that paper mills owned by both ART and Hunyani had a constant supply of raw material in the form of waste paper. With over 20 years of experience in waste paper recovery, the company has been a vital link in the sustainability of waste paper and plastic manufacturing industries.
The types of waste paper and plastic collected include newsprint, kraft, old stationery, archive records, computer paper, tissue, chipboard, LDPE and HDPE plastic. Waste paper and plastic is sourced and collected from different sectors in the country like municipal dumpsites, vendors, printing companies, manufacturing companies, government departments, service industry like banks and residential areas
We have got a staff compliment of over 115 nationally and we are represented in all major centers through depots. These are in Bulawayo, Gweru, Masvingo, Kwekwe, Chinhoyi, Kadoma and Mutare. Outside of that we have got agents in all other centers across the country who ensure that all waste paper and plastic is recovered for NWC. Indirectly, the system employs over 400 agents and vendors. Routine outreach visits are also made to the satellite towns of Norton, Ruwa and Marondera
